Needs a firmware update - Dibbs Martin -
Since I have had no reply to my inquiry in the week since I sent it, I can assume that Cambridge Audio customer service is as shoddy as its products!br /I returned my DVD99 to the service centre (the day after I purchased it!!)and they sent me a replacement. This replacement has the same problems and more. When I play a disc and then press stop, I am shown a screen that says "Press PLAY to resume." This works SOMETIMES. 25% of the time, pressing the PLAY button has no effect. The unit simply freezes up and has to be restarted (which takes me back to the initial menu of the dvd). I have tried pressing the PLAY button on the unit itself and that does not work, so it is not a problem with the remote control. I suspect the DVD99 is due for a firmware update, but, since Customer Service appears to be mute, I shall probably never find out.
